Whilst others may (fairly) criticize it for its perceived lack of content when compared to its predecessor, I personally feel it offers a much more consistent experience, which is, in part, due to the shorter game length.It's also in (no small) part due to the main arcs focus on some of the more interesting characters & relationships, especally Yuuji, JB, & Asako. Also, unlike "Fruit", all five of the side stories in Grisasia are pretty enjoyable, but in return, none of them are particularly special, either - They're just low\/low reward slide of life fillers, which works for me, as I believe both "Fruit" & "Eden" have serious issues when it comes to getting the most out of their emotional plot ideas...The art is just as consistent as the first game, but the OST doesn't feel anywhere near fresh enough, seeing how most of it is taken straight from "Fruit". The opening\/ending songs, however, are very good indeed. Technically, the game still has one of the most frustratingly useless auto modes known to man, but at least this one has cloud saving.I guess whether or not you'll prefer this game to the titles it's sandwiched between will come down to preference, but if you, like myself, found Yuuji & JB more interesting than all of the sidekicks, & want to learn a little bit about what got them to where they are today, then the main arc of Labyrinth is definitely worth 10-15 hours of your time.. After actual years of waiting the english translation of Labyrinth is finally here!The length doesn't nearly approach The Fruit of Grisaia but if you're a die hard Grisaia fan like I am that shouldn't matter to you. I'm just exceedingly happy to get more time to explore the stories of the captivatingly charming cast that is Yumiko, Amane, Makina, Sachi, and Michiru.... and now the wait for Eden of Grisaia begins. I dont recommend this games because it's too pricey compared to the lenght of the main story. I have finished it in 12 hours without skipping at all. Yeah you might enjoy the "After" stories but the main story interests me mostly. Thus this is not unrated version means adult stuff and even jokes or anything adult related is removed. Wait for the unrated version if you want something good.. Even if it's shorter than the Fruit it is totally worth the money!. Playing time not relevant cos I played a 18+ copy during steam game bug.We pursue each girl’s life with Yuji, there are some lines to remind what happened. Amane can’t really let go to feel guilty for Kazuki’s death. Michiru is short-minded; she thinks Yuji doesn’t go on flirting as summer is a bad season so she’ll make winter come now. Yumiko is rather ill-at-ease to please Yuji. It’s because she wasn’t considered emotionally by her dad. The girls’ lessons will teach her human qualities. Yuji likes how she is so she shouldn’t learn to be tsundere.Eventually they all benefit from being with Yuji: Sachi learns self-defense to not be used by her family, Yumiko gains self-esteem. Yuji’s past. It’s peculiar to start with a criminal instead of Yuji for the subject I like to witness Kazuki’s genius side when she tells him which hand to use when as it’s not well seen to be left-handed. She’s compassionate but she’s insane to want her brother for herself as she has power over him even sexually, its outrageous being kids. Kihiraha asked so sweet and pleasantly Yuji “did you kill him?” Heath Oslo is very attractive. He looks like a dark prince charming, he can have a sweet convincing voice. He’s cunning but very dangerous. His face expressions: smile know-it-all, angry threatening glare, sorry face like “why do you disappoint me?”are very convincing. He’s a guide for Yuji, unfortunate Yuji was too young to see his master’s true intent. Asako is impulsive but is also able to analyse things. She’s hard to live but a good instructor. She puts off his brainsawhing telling him to kill to protect but it’s a shame Yuji fell back to the darkside after her death.Humour:The girls are curious and jealous to spy when Yuji gets out with Amane/Yumiko. I laughed at Sachi suffocating. When she cried not bearing Yuji loving Amane, I felt compassionate and as her sobs became stronger it was hilarious. Girls’ disturbances of her date are funnier than a bother. The end of her route is a change from the romantic mood ;) I loved this surprise compared to other ends. I loved Asako shouting at the lion’s roar feeling aimed, JB inner voice as she felt unable to turn Yuji down if he proposed her now.Short stories: mainly funny, a few have the weird Japanese humour. Sachi bitten by the shark is funny. My fav is “telephone” with the love stick to not dry and “what’s in the box”.”The taming of the cat is weirdly comical but if we think first degree the male cat whips the female inside for mating. The Rice Cooker is a loser. For something serious there’s “Sachi monologue” a reminder of her child and life experience, she gives a lesson of hope if you persist you’ll succeed.. You should play Fruit of Grisaia before picking this one up. It's not mandatory but you will be confused as hell if you don't.Labyrinth of Grisaia tells the story of protagonist Kazami Yuuji's enigmatic past. It covers up almost everything that has happened to him from a young age to present day when he ended up as a student in Mihama Academy.By playing all of the routes in previous game you were left with a lot of puzzle pieces about his past. By playing the Cocoon of Caprice chapter you will relive some of the quite awful moments of his life. How he ended up as the legendary 9029 and much, much moreThere also is a playable route for every girl that picks up where Fruit of Grisaia left. The "Fan service" routes were amazing counter balance to the darker Cocoon of Caprice chapter and I would recommend playing them after playing through Yuuji's past.There are also about 30 short skits that are about 5 minutes short.Fruit of Grisaia would have worked perfectly as a stand alone game in my opinion, but if you are interested enough in Yuuji's past and rest of the Grisaia story feel free to pick this one up. It was an interesting read.. Half of it is fan service and half is the MC's back story. The unrated version is better.Michiru's after story is worth it.
